Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting after enrolling in Stanford University. Her early critical successes included roles in films such as Pleasantville and Election but it was her performance as Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a turning point in her career. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award, in 2005, for her role as Walk the Line. Water for Elephants: This Means War & Wild, in both films she received an Oscar nomination. She made her debut as a feature film in the comedy The Invisible Man. Following that, she was on a variety of TV shows such as House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. She has also appeared in two films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. She is a talented artist, and has also exhibited in several galleries.
